Observatory of the French Riviera

City of Nice localisation du projet Nice

The project to develop the basement of the Grand Equatorial concerns the development of the foundations of the building known as the “Grand Equatorial”, designed by Charles Garnier. Its dome was designed by Gustave Eiffel. It is in this setting that the Interpretation Center of the Observatory takes place, offering an immersive and interactive journey to the discovery of the instruments of observation of space and stars, scientists who made the reputation of the site and those who still participate today. The whole permanent exhibition offers a first approach of complex themes related to the observation of stars, and proposes a deepening for the most passionate.

Our role :

Museum Manufactory was responsible for all of the site’s audiovisual and multimedia productions: filming, immersions, games and activities to offer a complete, coherent and innovative tour. We have thus ensured the realization of ten expert interviews, the design and production of immersive films with sound, interactive terminals allowing the deepening of knowledge but also a playful break with interactive games, and finally of an interactive multi-screen table for adults and children.
