DekaBank – Visitors’ Center

H&C Stader localisation du projet Frankfurt am Main

To celebrate its 100th anniversary, DekaBank – the Sparkasse Group’s investment bank – has gone all out: it has transformed its former vaults into an interactive exhibition space, thus retracing 100 years of history. The exhibition can be visited by groups, by reservation only and with a guide. The introductory space emphasizes the roots and values of the group. A historical fresco parallels the history of Germany, that of the Sparkasse and the major stages in the development of DekaBank: it all starts with an idea (allowing everyone to save money) and ends with one of the most powerful banking groups in the world.

Our role:

For this turnkey project, Museum Manufactory managed the entire project as project manager: scenography, graphic design, and production. Our team designed and produced all the digital devices, including an 11-metre long immersive film that traces the economic and social history of the last century. After the film is shown, visitors are invited to open chests containing archival documents. Each of these documents, placed on an interactive table, reveals its content in a short immersive 270° explanatory film (16 in total). In the basement, great witnesses, former managers and strategists of the bank give their vision of history and their hopes for the future on 4 interactive multimedia stations.
