CERN – Science Gateway

EDEIS localisation du projet Geneva

The CERN, based in Geneva, the European laboratory for particle physics, is home to the Large Hadron Collider, the world’s largest and most powerful particle accelerator. The Science Gateway, its new public communications center for scientific education, opened its doors on October 7th 2023.

Housed in an iconic building designed by Renzo Piano, RPBW, the center is open to visitors from all over the world, from the age of five.

The Science Gateway enables CERN to considerably expand its program of activities, making the center an emblematic venue for public education and communication. Through exhibitions and hands-on educational activities, the Science Gateway will enable audiences of all ages and backgrounds to engage with CERN’s discoveries, scientific research and technologies.
