AfricaMuseum
AfricaMuseum Belgium
The Museum was built in 1897, during the Brussels World Exhibition in Tervuren. More than a century later, important transformation works were carried out, including the renovation of the building and the updating of the scenography. At the end of 2018, the museum was renamed “AfricaMuseum” and reopened to the public in its new formula, in a modernized state of mind and with a 21st century perspective.
Our role:
Museum Manufactory was in charge of the design and production of audiovisual and multimedia content, as well as the multimedia graphic charter. Our team has also developed and implemented a content management tool (CMS), tailor-made, in order to provide the Museum with updating of the content of the hundreds of screens placed on the tour route. We conducted interviews with the Congolese diaspora in Belgium, filmed artistic performances, edited existing films … Not to mention, interactive timelines, playful multimedia applications and interactive cartels. These are all tools that allow you to deepen your understanding of Belgian colonial history in Central Africa.
