Tour route: ‘The Benefits of Sport’
National Sports Museum
Nice
Located in Paris until 2013, the National Sports Museum has since moved to Nice, right in the heart of the Allianz Riviera Stadium, the city’s new stadium which hosts OGC Nice matches throughout the year as well as many major events. Thus, more than 50 years after its creation, France’s only national museum dedicated to sport finally has a setting worthy of its vast collections, comprising nearly 45,000 objects and 400,000 documents.
Following the French President’s decision to award sport the official Grande Cause Nationale 2024 label, the National Sports Museum is proposing to revisit its spaces with a focus on the benefits of sport. The project consists of creating a visitor trail within the permanent exhibition, with a strong graphic identity and specific content. This trail begins outside the National Sports Museum and continues within the museum’s permanent exhibition.
The adaptation of the permanent exhibition at the National Sports Museum around the theme of ‘The Benefits of Sport’ (Grande Cause Nationale) is a real opportunity to tell the story of sport in a different way and complements the multimedia devices integrated around this theme, offering the public a visiting experience full of positive emotions and sensations.
